Alffy Chinchilla Pellet was formulated to always keep your chinchilla’s digestive system in tip top shape. You won’t go wrong with this higher protein pellet as it is primarily made of our great tasting American Pet hay. Alffy Chinchilla Pellet is specifically designed for young chinchillas and other small companion animals that require higher protein and less fiber to help their growing needs. We have added just the right amount of vitamins and minerals to maximize your chinchilla’s health. Yucca has also been added to help reduce cage odors.
Our pellets are not only great tasting, they are smaller than standard pellets for ease of eating. Feed Alffy Chinchilla Pellet to young chinchillas along with any of American Pet's Timothy Hay or Alfalfa Hay varieties to assure a well-balanced diet for your pet chinchilla.
Our pellet diets are made primarily of our great tasting American Pet hay. Hay is an essential part of your chinchilla’s diet. Veterinarians recommend that junior and breeding chinchillas consume a diet of 70% hay and 20% pellets. American Pet’s Alffy Alfalfa Hay tastes great, which entices chinchillas to eat more hay. American Pet hay is grown slowly in the high plains of Nevada at an elevation of 6000ft. Cool nights and warm days create great, sweet tasting hay chinchillas can’t resist!

Feeding
For best results, feed Alffy Chinchilla Pellet per your veterinarian’s recommendations. Pets vary between breed and weight, feeding amounts depend on the animal's independent needs. In optimal conditions, feed junior or breeding chinchillas with Alffy Chinchilla Pellet and unlimited Alffy Alfalfa Hay per the junior chinchilla food pyramid. Always provide fresh clean water.
