Provide more opportunities for our furkids to try and we never know, we may discover a certain hidden talent that may surprise us. Cats and dogs are curious by nature and as pawrents, we should try and expose them to new surroundings, and ensure that their lives are not kept stagnant. Some cats tend to be curious about their pawrent while they are cooking. Letting them have a whiff of the ingredients may satiate their curiosity, and they will be able to learn more.

There has been a rise in online videos showing furkids in a hazardous environment, and the best way to go about it is to be alert and prevent any possible mishaps from taking place. Monitor and make a mental note of common behaviours exhibited by furkids which may endanger their lives. Correct their actions or remove the object of concern out of their reach.

Create fun obstacle courses for your pets. It can be as simple as a puzzle with a food reward, or a corridor-scale obstacle course with pets to walk through.
All we've got to do is get creative and start looking at what we have around the house that can be used to create a fun challenge for our furkids!

We have seen those adorable reactions when it comes to placing our dogs on a “diet”. But in all seriousness, there may come a point when we start wondering if our furkids are getting too chubby for their own health’s sake. Here is a good way to gauge -
Decreasing the amount of dog food given to a measly few kibbles is not the best way to go about it. There are pet food specially formulated for overweight pets with fewer calories to ensure healthy weight management. So in the new year, we have to be assiduous and look out for telltale signs and take quick assertive actions to ensure that our pet’s health does not become an issue.
